The Foundation sees funding as a deliberate decision to support projects, people and structures that make a credible contribution to society.

Not every worthwhile cause can be supported. It is therefore all the more important to deploy available resources where objectives, sponsors and expected impact come together convincingly.
Criteria

What matters to us in a project.

A project considered for support should address a specific need, pursue a clearly understandable objective and be carried by responsible people or organisations.

Equally important are an appropriate use of resources and a perspective that reaches beyond a short-term effect. Funding decisions are made individually and in accordance with the Foundation's statutory charitable purposes.

Where support is provided, the Foundation values direct communication and clear responsibilities. This applies both to smaller local initiatives and to projects with a scientific or international dimension.
